For a better understanding of mathematical concepts, the department of Mathematics, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali offers B.Sc. honours programme in Mathematics wherein students learn mathematics by doing live projects/activities.
B.Sc. (Honours) Mathematics is a three-year undergraduate program. The department of Mathematics introduced this degree programme to integrate Mathematics subjects with other disciplines. The curriculum is dispensed using a combination of Classroom Teaching, Practical’s, Group Discussions, Presentations, Home Assignments, Industry Interactions and Exposure to real world. The programme has a unique and innovative course structure which engenders creative out of the box thinking. The key focus of B.Sc. Mathematics honours degree is primarily to understand the reason and improve the world by means of systematic observation, experimentation, modelling and calculation. Discipline areas in this program ranges from cutting-edge pure and applied mathematics to new multidisciplinary science fields. Students can also acquire essential communication and research skills offered, which can prepare them for many diverse and exciting careers.
To promote application-oriented pedagogy by exposing students to real world data, this course exposes the students to the beautiful world of Mathematics and how it affects each and every aspect of our daily life. The programme is designed to equip students with all the major concepts of Mathematics along with the tools required to implement them.

    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
