OVERVIEW

Electrical Engineers deal with electricity to transmit electric power. The objective of this course is to train students in electrical engineering concepts such as generation, distribution, and transmission of electricity and its application in modern electronics from telecommunications, microprocessors, computers. Electrical engineers are required in every industry ranging from manufacturing, household, and office appliances. As an electrical engineer, a student can find various job opportunities in every industry.

On completion of the course, students can either go for further studies seeking B. Tech and post-graduation thereafter. The students can also seek employment in the places where electricity is generated, distributed or used such as nuclear power plants, hydroelectric power plants, and thermal power plants. The diploma in electrical engineering is a three-year program approved by UGC and the Government of Punjab.
