OVERVIEW
The course familiarises the students with the writers of English literature across different ages and continents, their theories, perspectives, models and methods. The students are able to demonstrate competence in analysis and critically analyse scholarly work in the areas of English language teaching, literary research and translation. Application of the knowledge of Literature, theories, research and skills in different fields of literary practice is provided.

ELIGIBILITY
Aspirant should have BA or equivalent qualification with English compulsory subject with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case for SC/ST candidates) and must have studied the Hons seeking subject at the qualifying level.
Future prospect of the course:
Demonstrate empathetic social concern and engage in service learning and community engagement programmes for contributing towards achieving of local, regional and national goal. The students develop the technical skills and ethical decisions appropriate for the holistic professional development in the field.
