Students will be understanding the basic terminologies of Indian music. The students will be studying about the life and contribution of the composers
of Hindustani music, Western music and Carnatic music. Students will get knowledge about the Gharanas of Hindustani music

Aspirant should have BA or equivalent qualification with Psychology as a compulsory subject with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case for SC/ST candidates) and must have studied the Hons seeking subject at the qualifying level.

Students will be able to create and analyse music as a means of supporting developing careers in music teaching and performance. Music students will be able to perform as soloists, ensemble members, and chamber musicians at appropriate levels for entering graduate music study and for public school and studio teaching.
