Sc. Hons. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Agriculture, B. Sc. Physical Science and Life Sciences, and M. Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Chemistry, Bio Statistics, Environmental Sciences, Botany adopting Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The programs at Doctorate levels are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Environmental Sciences, Botany. The Department of Physics has made substantial progress since its inception. The period of education you spend in the campus during your Graduation and Post-Graduation is the golden period in the whole life which lays down the foundation of the values for the journey of life in terms of social progress, educational excellence, expertise in the field, scientific status, etc. The support of our team of Faculty members helps to accomplish it during your stay in the Campus.
It requires great zeal and spirit to pursue sciences and it is evident that you’ve got it since you have made it this far. The Department provides any assistance possible to supplement your growth in this journey. I am sure this unique awe and positive energy of every individual shall inspire confidence in others. Your solid focus on objective, determined dedication, strong commitment and willingness to explore the facts will definitely lead you to the destination successfully.
The curriculum of all programmes offered by the Department aims to provide the proficiency and understanding to fulfil your interests in the world of Physics. The design of contents of the curriculum encourages and innovate the minds of students. We have adopted Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of UGC in Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate levels. The students joining the Department at Undergraduate level learn the Physics from fundamental concepts to the techniques of observing the physical quantities computationally and experimentally, that describe the world, during three years. The students joining at Postgraduate level study the advanced courses and have choice to choose the field of their interest as a specialization in particular subject in second year. At Postgraduate level the students are trained to handle the problems in Physics from research point of view in the area of Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Astrophysics, Astronomy, Cosmology, Condensed Matter Physics, Applied Physics and Electronics. The training at Postgraduate level helps the students to qualify National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellow (NET/JRF) and State Eligibility Test (SET) in one hand, to define and complete the problem at PhD level well on time, on the other. The research work (PhD program) is carried out in nuclear structure, nuclear astrophysics and nano-science.
At the end I assure that the endeavour of our team of Faculty members moulds the students into remarkable young persons in the field of Physics. And I can proudly say that our students have been excelling in their field and serving the society in any way possible.

It is my proud privilege to introduce the distinguished Department of Chemistry exploring in the field of Chemical sciences under rigorous, vibrant and innovative environment of Rayat Bahra University. Our aim is to implement appropriate education strategies and processes through a future-oriented curriculum using the adequate management and support by academically rich faculty and infrastructure.The most important objective of the Department of Chemistry has been the generation of talents, of young people committed to research and the improvement of the quality of chemistry teaching. To cater the need, department offers B.Sc. Chemistry Hons. at the undergraduate level, M.Sc. Chemistry at the postgraduate level and Ph.D. courses. Our curriculum is solid, rigorous and well-planned, based upon the choice based credit system (CBCS).
Promotion of research at undergraduate and graduate level is the salient feature of our department that fosters the interdisciplinary collaboration. The quality of research in the department is excellent with a fleet of sophisticated scientific equipments and excellent research infrastructure. Our department is active in many cutting-edge research fields, including green chemistry, nanochemistry, alternative fuels and environmental analysis with the involvement of faculty, students and research scholars.
The department is also involved in the promotion of science by organizing expert talks, seminars, conferences, and workshops at national and international level to inculcate scientific temperament in our students. In addition to academic excellence, we seek to exemplify, professionalism, diversity and integrity as a set of core values in our future chemists.
As growing discipline, chemistry is at the crossroads of many sciences, and placement opportunities for graduate chemistry students have always been better.
