Overview
The programme gives knowledge about the discipline, research methods and basic professional skills pertaining to psychological testing, assessment and counselling Students Understand how psychology can be applied to solve problems facing humankind. The students learn computer literacy, including the ability to use various e-resources, technology and social media. Ability to use skills in specific areas related to chosen specialization (e.g., cognitive, industrial-organizational, clinical, counselling, health, educational, social, community) are developed. The programme helps understanding varied socio-cultural contexts and being mindful of indigenous traditions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Aspirants should have passed 10+2 from any recognised board with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case for SC/ST candidates).
Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)

After completing B.A. Psychology Hons there is a plethora of career opportunities. They learn Articulation of ideas, scientific writing and authentic reporting. They students learn to appreciate the limitations of the discipline, and critically analysing conflicting theories and approaches. The programme helps developing basic professional skills pertaining to psychological testing, assessment and counselling. The course cultivates an ethical mindset, avoiding unethical behaviours such as data fabrication and plagiarism, being mindful of implications of research using human participants. The students learn the ability to connect theory with personal experiences and varied applied settings.
