OVERVIEW

B. Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Sciences is the profession that connects health and chemical sciences, ensuring the safe and effective use of therapeutic drugs. The scope of B Pharmacy is not limited to traditional roles of compounding and dispensing medications, but extends to modern health care services, which includes clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. Pharmacists, are experts on drug therapy and primarily responsible to optimally use medication and provide patients with positive health outcomes. Furthermore, they are highly-trained and skilled healthcare professionals adept at accomplishing a multitude of roles and provide quality care to patients.

The pharmacy profession in India has undergone rigorous changes to meet the unending demands of industry and community at large. However, the standard of education has been eroded by the rising tides of mediocrity. There is an urgent need to initiate an academic exercise aimed at attaining revamping of curriculum, keeping in pace with current and emerging trends in the field of B Pharmacy. The current era of globalization has witnessed evolution in pharmacy professions. These changes in quality pharmaceutical education are capable of addressing the needs of the nation in the 21st century.

Rayat–Bahra University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Pharmacy education, is efficient & effectively addresses the above needs by disseminating quality learning programs through integrated identity interface such as mental learning, industrial visits, guest lectures, and industrial seminars. Specialized domain skills training in the final year is provided to improve the job opportunity. The curriculum also embeds a range of soft skills, communication skills & life skills, for overall student development. The courses offered are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and Government of India.

    • The student has cleared all the courses prescribed for the program.
    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
