OVERVIEW
B.Sc. Dialysis Technology: B.Sc. Dialysis Technology is a three year degree course which prepares students to become trained dialysis technicians who provide strong paramedical support system to hospitals for providing specialized care to renal failure patients. Dialysis technicians work closely with Nephrologists and carry out regular dialysis and various preparatory procedures including the sterilization and maintenance of machines for patients of chronic renal failure awaiting renal transplant. They play an important role in ameliorating the sufferings of such patients and help in improving the quality of their life. This is an ever-expanding field and there are a large number of patients in need of such a care in the country and in the world. The program also instil the values of compassion and ethics to make them caring towards the community.

Eligibility Criteria:Â The eligibility criteria of B.Sc Dialysis Technology is that students have to pass 10+2 examinations with PCB from a recognized institute. Science should be the mainstream.
Future Prospect of the Course: The graduate of BSc Dialysis Technology possess following
• Knowledge of laboratory tests: Posses theoretical and practical knowledge of the laboratory test associated with diagnosis of diseases including biochemical, pathological, and microbiological test in the laboratory.
• Thinking abilities: Utilize the principles of scientific test, thinking analytically, clearly, and critically, while solving dialysis problems and making patient reports after sample processing in daily practice.
• Planning abilities: Demonstrate effective planning abilities including dialysis technology timing management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Professional identity: Understand, analyze, and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g., health care professionals, laboratory supervisors and managers) through consideration of social, economic and health issues.
• PO5: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Dialysis practice.
• Lifelong learning: Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of dialysis technology change.
