OVERVIEW

The academicians, researchers and industry persons require a thorough and deep knowledge of Chemistry so as to gain skills for problem solving and face significant challenges at the interface of Science, Engineering and Technology. Keeping this in consideration, M.Sc. Chemistry is based upon choice base credit system with an inter/multidisciplinary approach to provide insights in various aspects of Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Computational Chemistry. The program is based upon cultivation of the interest of the students in Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry and enabling them to build a successful career in academics, industry or research. The programme includes sub-disciplines of Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Photochemistry and more. The program carries out overall development of the students by providing the intellectual, scientific and practical exposure through industrial/scientific visits, seminars, workshops, trainings, dissertation etc. The Research labs at the Department are equipped with sophisticated instruments including Batch reactors, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, HPLC etc. and provide a learning environment to the students with hand-on-experience in the field of nanochemistry, alternative fuels, green chemistry and analytical chemistry.

    • The student has cleared all the courses prescribed for the program.
    • The student has obtained at the end of every semester SGPA of at least 4.5 for Diploma & under graduate courses and SGPA 5.0 for post graduate courses. (For M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Pharm (Practice) Courses, SGPA will be 5.0).
    • The student has obtained a minimum CGPA of 5.00 for Diploma & under graduate courses and CGPA 5.5 for post graduate courses.
    • The student has not taken more time than specified for completion of the course.
    • Student has satisfied all the rules of evaluation.
    • No case of indiscipline or unfair means is pending against the student.
    • No dues are pending against the student.
