Ph.D Mathematics

OVERVIEW

The students of the department of Mathematics are undergoing project in different fields of Mathematics. The students of UG classes are improving their knowledge and skills by working on minor projects and will understand the significance of research. Moreover, the students of PG courses are putting rigorous efforts and zealot for the major project work. The credits of the minor and major project shall be counted in the degree of each student.

The areas of undergoing research in department of Mathematics are Numerical Techniques, Number theory and ……………………In Numerical techniques the use of mathematical modeling for the industry comes into play where experiments reveal features of any process to be modeled in the form of partial differential equations(PDEs) which describe a huge range of physical principles as transportation problems, turbulence, heat flow problems. An analytical method for PDEs involves the issues concerning the existence and uniqueness of solutions which is taken by numerical techniques. Numerical approximation of PDEs is a corner stone of the mathematical modeling since almost all modeled real world problems fail to have analytic solutions or they are not known in the scope of pure mathematics because of their complexity. So the existence, stability and consistency be analyzed by numerical techniques for the world problems.
